Western Building Products has been growing in our Wauwatosa location since 1946. We expanded as much as we could in our landlocked location there.
We wanted to find a new site near our current Wauwatosa location that could accommodate up to a 500,000sf building. We were open to expanding an existing building or building a new one. We interviewed several commercial Brokers and were impressed with the knowledge, diligence and professionalism of the Dickman Company.
They provided many alternatives and we eventually settled on a 31 Acre site only ten minutes from our current location. The site came with many challenges; we needed to have the site rezoned, which turned out to be a very complicated process. The site was not serviced by city water or sewer, which turned out to be another major challenge.
Through it all, the Dickman company was by our side, helping us negotiate this extremely complicated process. Their tenacity, professionalism and knowledge of the Real estate market and understanding of the different processes required to pull this deal off were indispensable. I was further impressed by their knowledge of the entities and city staff who we had to deal with along the way. When we decided to list our existing location there was no question that the Dickman company would be our agents for that transaction as well.
